Rebecca Eiden has nearly ten years of experience in environmental consulting and planning. Rebecca started her own company to work closely with other water resource professionals to develop her surface water knowledge and experience. With River System Strategies, Rebecca focuses her energy on projects as important and exciting to her as they are to her clients. She combines her knowledge in hydrology, hydraulics, geomorphology, sediment transport, and ArcGIS to assess, develop, coordinate, and manage environmental restoration projects.
Rebecca has worked in consulting since 2012, with a degree in biogeoscience from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. She started her experiences working on conceptual mining plans for Wisconsin frac-sand mining for a couple of years before heading North to Duluth. Over the past eight years in Duluth, Rebecca has taken fluvial-related courses with Karen Gran, John Swenson, Will Harman, and Dave Rosgen. She has worked for several years with a midsize engineering company (Shout out to Barr Engineering - Duluth). Now beginning River System Strategies (RSS), Rebecca has recently partnered with many stream folks on projects related to watershed restoration, connectivity projects (culverts and dams), technical writing (reports, permits, grants, and plans), design concepts, and project management in CO, MI, MN, and her home state, WI.
